Isuzu FVD 1000 MR/HR Combination
Introducing our newest addition to the Gold Town Driving School Fleet. Our vehicle represents a majority of the trucks in these licence classes of the industry. It comes equipped with an 9 speed synchromesh gearbox that has a low and high range gear selector ('Splitter'). It does not cover road-ranger gearbox equipped vehicles. As fleets have modernised the trend has been for synchromesh gearboxes. This trend is even now swinging towards automatic .This vehicle has the ability to convert from an MR to a HR class vehicle by simply dropping an axle.

The Load Restraint Guide 2018 provides transport drivers, operators, and other participants in the transport chain of responsibility with basic safety principles which should be followed for the safe carriage of loads on road vehicles.
A complementary guide to help light vehicle drivers safely restrain their load is also available. A light vehicle is any car, ute, van, truck or trailer that has a gross vehicle mass up to 4.5 tonnes. You can download a copy of the Load Restraint Guide 2018 for Light Vehicles.
It is important that everyone involved in transporting dangerous goods understands their responsibilities to help prevent and/or reduce damage to people, property and the environment.
